Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art that teaches ground control utilizing such positions as the guard, the mount, side control and back control.

Once in these positions, an opponent can submit him or her with a submission that usually utilizes a joint manipulation such as an arm bar, kimura, or key lock.

The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class is taught in a gi, which is a traditional uniform, and belt ranks are awarded. The belt order for Kid's BJJ consists of White, Yellow, Orange, Green (with 4 stripes in-between belt colors) and then

Blue, Purple, Brown and Black.

As your child moves up through the ranks, he or she will build character, self confidence and a sense of achievement

A parent or guardian will need to be present during the class.
