YOUR FIRST CLASS
For your first lesson you'll need the right equipment to train in. For most classes shorts and t-shirt is fine to train in but please don't wear anything with zips or buttons to avoid hurting your training partners.

If you're training BJJ, you'll need a gi. If you don't have one you can hire one for free from reception!

For MMA, boxing or Muay Thai classes you can use our gloves and shinguards. However, if you decide to become a member we recommend buying your own items. You can buy all this from reception
HYGIENE
At Combat Sports Academy we try to keep our mats as clean as possible. Our mats are cleaned daily to help stop the spread of skin infections. It's therefore very important that you:

1. DO NOT STEP ON THE MATS WITH OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR

2. DO NOT WALK BAREFOOT OFF THE MATS

3. USE THE ALCOHOL HAND RUB PROVIDED BEFORE AND AFTER TRAINING OR USING ANY GLOVES OR SHIN GUARDS
PROGRESS
You may find that your first class is very tiring! If you didn't bring your own drink you can buy one from reception!

Remember that whilst we want you to push yourself and train hard, please feel free to take a break if you need! Work at your own pace and don't worry about holding up the class! If you remind whoever you partner up with that it's your first or second class they'll be more than happy to help you out!

If you'd like to book into another class, just let the instructor know when you'd like to come back and they'll book you in!
