CLUB RULES

IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A QUALITY ENVIRONMENT AND TUITION WE REQUIRE ALL STUDENTS TO FOLLOW A FEW SIMPLE RULES...

FREECLASSES

All members are required to have a high level of hygiene whilst participating in in any class.

 

  • long hair tied back/plaited

  • short finger and toes nails

  • clean training kit and equipment

  • shower before class (where possible)

  • no training with open wounds or skin infections

 

No food to be consumed/brought into gym/matted area.

 

All jewellery should be removed to avoid injuring other students.

 

Strictly no footwear is permitted on the mats. Footwear must be worn off the mats. No exceptions.

 

Listen to the instructor's commands and class format.

 

No under 16s are allowed in the weights area AT ANY TIME.

 

Be respectful and considerate to fellow members at all times including assessing an opponent’s ability, experience, size and fitness level whilst participating in classes.

 

All children must wear a CSA Gi and CSA kit. In Kids Boxing classes the minimum requirement is a CSA t-shirt.

 

All kit should be clearly named. Lost property will be discarded after 1 month. Bottles, mouthguards and underwear will be trashed immediately for hygiene reasons.

 

Adults in BJJ are required have a CSA patch/patches on their Gi if not wearing a CSA branded Gi.

 

Combat Sports Academy accepts no responsibility/liability for valuables or personal equipment in the club or bikes/Scooters/cars parked outside the unit.

 

When training in classes that include head contact (MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai) the club operates a skill/technique based sparring ethos to remove/limit repetitive brain trauma. The club reserves the right to remove or limit a students right to sparring sessions if they are found to be sparring irresponsibly.

 

Junior members are required to wear head guards in any sparring scenario with head contact. Head contact sparring is not allowed for members under 10 years old.

 

Parking

 

Do not park in Halfords or Johnstones spaces except after 5:15pm weekdays and then in designated parking spaces only.

 

Drive slowly through the car park.

 

Do not drive into the car park to collect children from classes. This is extremely dangerous due to the lack of space to manoeuvre safely and could endanger a child’s life.

 

Memberships

 

Adhere to the terms and conditions of the membership type you are on.

 

Book classes promptly via the Zen App. To cancel classes via the Zen App or calling the club. If you do not attend a class booked this will be deducted from your class limit. Please note that failure to cancel classes may result in booking rights removed for 1 weeks.

 

Parents should book their child/children into a session in as far advance as possible NOT an hour before class start time to allow effective class planning and staff cover.

 

Check in at reception on arrival. Students who regularly attend classes without checking in run the risk of being charged for extra classes.
